Deepak Dave Passes Away

Deepak Dave, Executive Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan USA passed away in New York at the age of 60. The son of writer and journalist, the late Harindra Dave, he was an actor and voiceover-dubbing artiste. He starred in several Gujarati films, serials and plays. He had also worked as Director of Programmes at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mumbai from 2003 to 2005. He then took over as Manager of Programmes at the BVB in the US. In 2008, he was made Executive Director, and won the admiration of the community for his work in promoting Indian art and culture.

Anupam Kher posted on Twitter, "Deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden death of a friend and theatre thespian in New York... He was cultured, humble and extremely helpful. Can’t believe he is no more."
