Vaagdhara organized its annual award ceremony, recognizing various talents and priceless contributions to the culture and social development in India. This year in addition to the stalwarts, also honored were the young achievers with a potential to make a difference. In the panel of guests were names such as Smita Thackrey, Ram Naik and Narayan Rane.

Amongst the various awardees was a noteworthy name, Om Katare, who was felicitated for his selfless dedication to theatre lasting 41 years and counting. The audiences were amazed to know that his group Yatri has performed more than 5500 shows of more than 77 plus productions and has given the industry so many actors who have made a name for themselves.

On the occasion, Katare said, "Yatri has with your support been able to entertain audiences. Once we have a show that the audiences love, we strive to do even better since that is what the audience expects from us and we strive to deliver."
