Thespo is facilitating a series of workshops for young theatremakers through the lockdown.
The workshop on Piecing Of A Play covers everything from conceptualising to rewriting. It will be led by Akash Mohimen, and is spread over three days - May 8, 10 and 12, from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm, on Zoom.

About the workshop:
The workshop will equip participants with the various tools required to write a play right from ideation and conceptualization to creating characters, structuring a story, writing and rewriting scenes and dialogues. The aim is to help participants embark on a writing journey and create their own masterpieces.
About Akash Mohimen:
Akash Mohimen is a playwright and screenwriter who tries to make sense of the world by collecting stories. Over the last 10 years, he has written 7 produced plays along with a couple of screenplays. His play, Under The Chestnut Tree which explores artistic rivalries and censorship was shortlisted for the Hindu Metroplus Playwright Award 2013. Mohimen was also part of the screening panel for Thespo 2018. As a screenwriter, Mohimen has worked on Rukh (2017), a feature film and a miniseries called Bhaukaal (2020). He has also been a cinematographer and editor for the short film Ek Red Color Ki Love Story (2012).
