Yatri Completes 45 Years

Yatri Theatre Group, with Om Katare at the helm completes 45 years in January 2024, which is a remarkable achievement. Apart from a festival of plays at three venues in Mumbai, there will also be a commemorative booklet "reflecting on our achievements and aspirations," as the note from the group says.



"The celebrations begin on 23rd January 2024 and run for six Days at Prithvi Theatre,; they further extend to Kalaghoda Festival, Lata Mangeshkar Natya Gruha and Experimental Theatre in February."

Yatri began its journey in 1979 with a performance at Prithvi Theatre, and has over the years staged over 100 productions, with 5800 performances across India and abroad, over 50 workshops conducted and over 2000 artists trained.

Some of Yatri's memorable productions include SAKHARAM BINDER, EK THA GADHA, DILLI UNCHA SUNTI HAI, KAAL CHAKRA, RAVAN LEELA AND CHINTA CHHOD CHINTAMANI.
