The prestigious Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival 2025, presented by the Baig Theatre Foundation, returns to Hyderabad this November with its landmark 20th edition. Renowned as one of India's foremost theatre festivals, this year's theme - “Stalwarts to Next-Gen” - beautifully bridges generations of talent, showcasing both legends and emerging stars on one grand stage.

Scheduled across three weekends in November, the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival - 2025 will feature some of the biggest names in Indian theatre and cinema, including Mohan Agashe, Anupam Kher, Sharmila Tagore, Shobha De, and Mahesh Elkunchwar. Sharing the spotlight are the next-generation performers - Junaid Khan (Aamir Khan's son), Zahan Kapoor (Shashi Kapoor's grandson), Anirudh Sarkar, and Faezeh Jalali, along with a special international group from Norway.

Curated by Padmashri Mohammad Ali Baig, celebrated actor-director and son of the theatre legend Qadir Ali Baig, the festival has become synonymous with excellence and resilience. It is notably the only global theatre festival that continued live performances even during the COVID lockdowns. "This year's edition celebrates the torchbearers of tomorrow, honoring the vision of my father who dreamed of a theatre-vibrant Hyderabad," says Mohammad Ali Baig.

The 2025 edition will also feature masterclasses by Mahesh Elkunchwar (Playwriting), Dolly Ahluwalia (Costume Design), and Mohan Agashe (Children's Theatre), along with film screenings, workshops, and performances across State Art Gallery, Radisson Blu Plaza, Shilparamam, and Taramati Baradari.

Supported by Telangana Tourism, the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival 2025 continues to be a living museum of theatre art, celebrating 20 years of passion, creativity, and cultural heritage - a true tribute to India's timeless performing arts.

Dates: November 7-9, 14-16, 27-30
Venues: Hyderabad, Telangana
