Veteran Theatre Director-Actor Damu Kenkre Passes Away...

Damu Kenkre (80), recipient of many awards including the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi award, passed away at his residence after a prolonged illness. He was highly regarded in experimental Marathi theatre circles and was also known for his efforts in the direction of youth theatre.

He is survived by his wife Lalitabai, son Vijay and daughter-in-law Mangal.
