CHETAN BHAGATFans of Chetan Bhagat's 'Five Point Someone', which has proved to be one of the best-selling novels of recent times, will be delighted to know that the man himself will now be seen on stage in the production based on his novel. The Chennai based Evam Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which has produced the play, will be staging shows in Mumbai from 25th to 27th February 2011 at the NCPA Tata Theatre. These are special as Chetan is acting in them. The shows are part of the NCPA's initiative to invite plays from outside Mumbai.

Chetan says that "he is thrilled to be a part of this project." Reading, he says, is a private experience. "You can't see your reader but in the theatre, it is different. You share a live experience with them." He further adds, "I am hoping that I will get a non-theatre audience to also come and watch the shows. Hopefully people will be curious as they would have read the book, as well as seen the film version of it."

The production is directed by Evam's Sunil Vishnu K. Evam Entertainment Pvt Ltd was established in 2003, and is a successful enterprise run by young management and media professionals who now regularly stage shows in Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.
