K TWO (dance)

K Two is an improvised performance based on the character of Madame K(multimedia choreographic solo 2004). Two dancers explore the limits of the movements of video game characters executed by human bodies. As in street performances, this piece plays out the video game and the two individuals captured inside it in a public space.

The eyes of the performers are fixed, without expression. Nicole Seiler and Kylie Walters move both of them in straight lines, like robots with jerky movements. Their slow way of walking makes one think of those characters made out of pixels that seem to walk on cotton soil.
