Theatre lovers in Hyderabad are in for a memorable evening, on August 3, when two iconic names " Suhasini Maniratnam and Mohammad Ali Baig " will be coming together for a special on-stage conversation as part of the popular 'Remembering Razia Baig' series. The event will be held at Radisson Blu Plaza, Banjara Hills at 7 pm, and promises to be an evening full of stories, emotions, and theatre magic.

The 'Remembering Razia Baig' series began earlier this year to honour the memory of Begum Razia Baig, a respected name in Hyderabad's cultural scene. The series celebrates women in the performing arts who have made a mark through their work and passion.

It opened with Ila Arun presenting her powerful biography 'PARDEY KE PEECHE', followed by Sohaila Kapur's 'ANAND HI ANAND', a tribute to her legendary uncle, Bollywood actor Dev Anand. Last month, veteran actress Rashmi Seth shared her memories of working in Qadir Ali Baig's iconic play 'AADHEY ADHURE'.

With every event receiving full attendance and growing appreciation, this tribute series has become one of the most awaited events in Hyderabad's theatre calendar.

As part of the ongoing series, the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation now presents a rare and engaging conversation between Suhasini Maniratnam and Mohammad Ali Baig, two personalities deeply respected in Indian cinema and theatre.

Suhasini Maniratnam, a well-known name in South Indian cinema, has acted in over 350 films across Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. She has won Best Actress awards in four languages and has received seven Filmfare awards. But her journey is more than awards and fame. From her early days in a small village in Tamil Nadu's Paramakudi to walking the red carpets at film festivals in Cannes and Belarus, Suhasini has always followed her passion. She is not only an actress but also a writer, producer, director, and runs her own film production company.

On the other hand, Mohammad Ali Baig is a theatre revivalist known for keeping the legacy of Hyderabad's stage culture alive. Through the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Foundation, he has created and directed plays that have travelled across the globe. His work focuses on storytelling that blends history, emotion, and performance.

This Sunday, the conversation between Suhasini and Ali Baig is expected to go beyond films and theatre. It will explore dreams, struggles, milestones, and the magic of performing arts.
