Bringing this timeless literary voice to the stage with remarkable consistency is theatre practitioner Mujeeb Khan. His long running series AADAAB, MAIN PREMCHAND HOON is not just a theatrical production but a heartfelt homage to the legendary writer. Conceived, designed, and directed by Khan, the series has become a cultural bridge between literature and live performance, introducing Premchand's stories to newer audiences while rekindling nostalgia among seasoned theatre lovers.

On 22nd February 2026 at 7:30 PM, the production celebrates a historic milestone as it completes its 1010th show at Shakuntalam Studio, Adarsh Nagar, Andheri. This extraordinary achievement makes it the only drama series to be registered in both the Limca Book of Records and the Worldwide Book of Records, a testament to its sustained impact and audience love.

For this special performance, IDEA will stage three celebrated works of Premchand: Sautan, Bade Ghar Ki Beti, and Lanchan. Each play captures social realities with emotional honesty and sharp insight, reminding us why Premchand remains relevant in every era.
