Suniel Shetty, Salim Merchant unveil DISCO DANCER - THE MUSICAL in Mumbai

Saregama and Suniel Shetty unveiled their West End hit DISCO DANCER - THE MUSICAL in Mumbai, and offered a sneak peek into the larger-than-life tribute to Bappi Lahiri's cult classic, with a foot-tapping, reimagined score by Salim-Sulaiman.

The never-before spectacle brings alive 80's Bollywood music in all its golden glory on stage! Choreographed and directed by Rajiv Goswami, DISCO DANCER - THE MUSICAL will be one of the biggest live stage performances for Mumbai audiences.

Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty and music director Salim Merchant (of Salim-Sulaiman fame) were present at the preview. Both remembered the late Bappi Lahiri.

"Bappi da was very happy when he came to know about Disco Dancer Musical which will be recreated by us (Salim-Sulaiman Duo), and we wanted to witness the premiere show, but unfortunately he's no more, but his blessings are always with us", said Salim Merchant.

"All the performances were outstanding, genuinely, and sometimes I get the feeling to be there on stage performing, but suddenly I realized that I don’t know dancing nor singing and I don’t belong there." commented elated Suniel Shetty praising all the artists after the performance.

DISCO DANCER - THE MUSICAL stars Arjun Tanwar, Salonie Patel, Tia Kar, Dipesh Kashyap, and Varun Tewari and is supported by Ana Ilmi, Gautam Berde, Raman Chanjotra, Jude Texeira, Komal Chhabria, Soham Joshi, and Zachary Coffin. It will premiere from April 14th to 16th and April 20th to 23rd, 2023, at the NSCI Dome.
