It is wonderful that the country's major theatre awards, META, instituted by the Mahindra's will have its 20th edition in 2025. It requires generosity and commitment for a business house to support theatre for two decades.

Entries are invited for the 20th Mahindra Excellence in Theatre Awards, and submissions will be open from now till January 15, after which 10 of the best will be selected and staged in Delhi in February 2025, for a jury to pick winners in several categories. According to a note from Teamwork Arts that organises and manages the process and the final event, "For two decades, META has served as a platform that brings the rich diversity and creativity of Indian theatre to the forefront. The plays showcased over the years have spanned a multitude of genres and languages, capturing the essence of inclusivity and innovation.
