The most talked about Gujarati play of 2010 KANJEE VIRUDDH KANJEE has been re-vamped and will be performed on 16th January 2011 at 7.30 pm at Nehru, Worli. Umesh Shukla, the Director of the play says "The play has created ripples in the Gujarati theatre industry. After a long time there is a play which captures the audience solely because of its strong subject."
Writer Bhavesh Mandalia, who has done research on the subject, says "The re-vamp helped me make drastic changes in my script, and to add new instances as well. The faith of the audience boosted my confidence and I am sure the audience will love the refreshed version." The play has fetched houseful shows in all auditoriums in Mumbai and in Gujarat. Veteran actor Tiku Talsania who will now play the central role of Kanjee says, "Pravin Joshi was known for his strong subjects in Gujarati theatre and after long I have come across a script so strong and flawless. With the rehearsals I have evolved as a person. Considering the treatment given to the script, I have a strong instinct that it will be a success."
