Motley's new production is a collection of three short pieces by George Bernard Shaw.
The centrepiece is 'Village Wooing', his comediettina 'for two voices in three scenes' preceded by the one-act play 'How he lied to her Husband' and a longish poem, 'English pronounciation' which deals with the peculiarities of spoken English, (one of his favourite themes) while the two short plays are affectionate satires on the processes of wooing and wedding, and their aftermath. Mr. Shaw's rapier-sharp wit and his unique take on these human rights-of-passage make for a stimulating, sparkling evening's entertainment.
With the conviction that children should not be exposed only to low comedy in the theatre, Motley is attempting Bernard Shaw's satire on war and heroism. And this revival (with a younger cast) is being done with the intention of introducing children to Mr. Shaw's exquisite use of words, and his genius as a playwright.

Samuel Beckett's masterpiece is considered the most significant play written in the 20th century. "Nothing happens, twice" and time stands still in the act of waiting for someone who never appears.
"Go and see Waiting for Godot. At the worst you will discover a curiosity, a four-leaved clover, a black tulip; at the best, something that will securely lodge in a corner of your mind for as long as you live." (Harold Hobson, Sunday times, 1955)
